Thanks for all the compliments everybody. I used to watch DS back in the day. It was awesome. There were a couple of actors that the prod staff had to call lines out to and you could hear them on screen. Also loved seeing the microphone(?) in the top of the screen too. But you get past it - like the styrofoam rocks and fried egg aliens in classic Star Trek - just to get a really great story.
